The Triple Threat NFL Football Camp featuring former Denver Bronco Pro Bowl linebacker Ian Gold, and Green Bay Packer wide receiver Greg Jennings was a huge success. Sixty Aurora urban youth were bussed to Aurora Christian High School July 11 for a day of sports training, skills and drills, lunch and inspirational messages from Ian and Greg.

Athletes and coaches from Aurora Central Catholic, Fox Valley Gators Pop Warner Football team and local area high schools led skills focused on Passing and Receiving, Running options, Pass Defense, and Kicking Special Teams. VIP trainers from Equinox Fitness of Highland Park led students in exercise drills and fitness instruction.

Triple Threat sponsors Nike and Power Bar® partnered to make the free camp a success. Nike provided Sparq training equipment and official high school and youth sized footballs for camp use. And smiling camp participants each received a football before boarding the bus to return home. Triple Threat nutrition bars and Endurance sports drink provided by PowerBar® kept both athletes and camp volunteers’ energy high through out the camp.

Thanks to the many volunteers who served urban youth and made the camp possible. And to the Aurora Township for providing camp transportation for youth in the Aurora Housing Authority Communities and Hesed House shelter.
