So you made a resolution to help others or volunteer in the New Year? Well, you aren’t alone.
That’s because year after year, helping others or volunteering is always on the list of Top 10 Resolutions. But the whole ‘help others’ thing isn’t always as easy to figure out on your own. Fear not….. Triple Threat is here to help.
And here’s the best part: helping others doesn’t have to be a drag. In fact, it’s flippin fun. That’s because at Triple Threat, we don’t believe in boring. We have a great time while helping others. And there’s a reason for that — we combine the fundamental principals of mentoring but apply them in a unique setting.
“If you like to have fun and want to make a difference, then Triple Threat is where it’s at,” said Triple Threat Executive Director Caleb Luper. “When you’re spending time with students doing something you’re passionate about, it’s a perfect match for kids and volunteers.”
So what do you enjoy most? Making music? Playing basketball? Hip-hop dance? Hand drumming? Making money? Riding bikes? We do it all. And the best part is, you can use your passion to make a difference in the lives of under-resourced youth.
Here’s a great example of using your passion to help others. In this case, it’s actually youth in our program doing the helping. Take a look at what students in the Birp program did for Carter, a young boy living with leukemia.
