300 Students. 6 Schools. 1 Goal.

To show Chicago youth EVERYONE CAN FLY
What is WINGS?

WINGS is a partnership program between Jordan Brand and Triple Threat Mentoring for 300 students at 6 schools on the south and west sides of Chicago. The year-long community impact initiative aims to empower at-risk youth to help them dream, pursue and achieve greatness.

How does it work?

The Jordan Brand WINGS program runs for 20 weeks throughout the school year on Saturdays. We connect passionate volunteers with Chicago youth to serve as mentors and help them grow in areas they’re passionate about. Within the WINGS program, we break students into smaller groups, called “Tracks.” For Year 3 of the program, our tracks included Hip-Hop dance, athletics, photography, entrepreneurship and Tour De Sport, which is non-traditional sports. In years past, we’ve done tracks such as spoken word, 3D printing, virtual reality, Improv comedy and other activities.

Why did 3T start WINGS?

Students on the south and west side of Chicago face enormous challenges. Drugs, gangs and violence are plaguing our communities. So, we teamed up with Jordan Brand in 2015 to do something about it. The WINGS program seeks to provide students opportunities and resources to succeed that they may not otherwise have.

Where is WINGS?

Wings is located at 6 schools on the south and west side of Chicago. This allows us to literally meet the students where they are and become ingrained in the communities we serve! On the south side, we kick it at Deneen, Dulles and Daley elementary schools. On the west side, we party with students at Dvorak, Chalmers and Piccolo elementary schools.

How do I get involved?

Fill out the form below, and we’ll take care of the rest. Whether you want to be a general volunteer, help lead a track, or become an intern, we connect hundreds of people in WINGS each year.
